An Unforgettable Trip

An Unforgettable Trip

Image result for scouts hiking mountain clipart         Last Saturday, a troop of boy Scouts planned to go on a camping trip. Daniel woke up early in the morning and he felt as fresh as daisy. He was excited and looked forward to the trip. The campsite was located at a mountain. They arrived at the forest with their supplies such as tents, torchlights, safety kits, canned food and drinks.

Once they alighted from their bus, they started to walk into the forest. Along the way, they found a prickle of hedgehogs. It was their first sight of a hedgehog. They used a compass to help them in finding directions deep in forest. There were four boy Scouts in the trip. Bryan was tired because he woke up at five in the morning for the trip.

Image result for snake with scouts clipart The hike to the campsite took two hours. While Nick was walking, he did not realise there was a big pit in front of him. He slipped into the pit. There was a snake in the pit! It was a venomous snake trying to bite Nick. Bryan heard a hissing sound and he noticed the snake. He alerted everyone else. Everyone panicked. Ryder tried to pull Nick out of the pit. However, the pit was as big as an elephant. The troop felt terrified over Nick’s safety. When Nick tried to get up by himself, he squeaked, “Ouch!” because he had injured himself from the fall. Meanwhile, everyone else tried to distract the snake from biting Nick. Ryder was trying to be a good Samaritan to Nick but he did not want to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Nick was very terrified and panicked to be stuck in a pit that was six feet deep. The troop’s tactic to distract the snake was by throwing stones at it. Ryder climbed down slowly into the pit. As he reached the bottom, he grabbed Nick’s hand and climbed out of the pit. He pulled Nick out of the pit with all his might. After Nick was rescued, he was still as terrified as a bunny in a fox hole. Everyone helped Nick to calm down after he was rescued. They cleansed Nick’s hand and covered it with a bandage. Then they called the zoo and the workers from the zoo came and took the snake to the zoo. Everyone continued their hike to the campsite.

Upon arrival at the campsite, everyone was relieved that no one was badly injured. They continued their program as planned. It was an unforgettable camping trip!
